Cape Henry Inn and Beach Club Reservation Policies
a. Eligibility - Reservations must be made by those individuals who are Active Duty, Retired, Reserve military, or DOD civilian.
b. Rates are seasonal and subject to change without notice. Seasons are winter (1 Nov-31 Mar), spring (1 Apr-14 May), summer (15 May-14 Sep), fall (15 Sep-31 Oct).
c. During the summer season, military/ DOD Civilian ID card holders may reserve up to three (3) units with a 30-day (month) maximum stay. To ensure equitable use of the CHI, guest will not be permitted to extend their stay more than 30 days combined in one-year period.
d. Group reservations (weddings and family reunions) are the only exception to the three-unit rule. A group reservation request form must be approved by the General Manager. Once it has been approved, the sponsor must still compete for the required rooms through the established reservation guidelines. Group reservations not accepted for the summer season.
e. Reservations are taken on first come, first serve basis. Reservations can be made up to 52 weeks in advance.
f. Reservations can be made via phone or the website.
h. You may guarantee a reservation with a check if the reservation is booked outside of 30 days of the arrival date. The check in the amount of the 1 night's stay must be received by the Cape Henry no later than 14 days from making the reservation. If payment is not received on the 14th day the reservation will automatically be cancelled.
i. The Military ID card holder must be present at time of checkin. You must accompany your guest at time of check in. Sponsored guest will not be authorized to check in without the sponsor being present Sponsored guest reservations must check in on the same day and must depart before or on the same day as your reservation
j. Full payment for the balance of the room must be paid upon check out. Accepted forms of payment are cash, check (with proper ID), VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. A valid credit card must be presented for authorization when checking in.
k. The main complex of CHI (motel and cottages) is a pet and smoke-free facility. Only the bungalows and log cabins allow pets and smoking. Anyone caught disregarding this policy will be asked to vacate the premises and will be assessed a deep cleaning fee. A $5.00 pet fee will be required per day per pet for guest staying in the Bungalows and Log Cabins.
l. Anyone disturbing the comfort and quiet enjoyment of the facilities by other guests will be asked to leave.
m. Cancellation of reservations must be done at least 30 days prior to the reservation arrival date in order to avoid a cancellation fee. A cancellation fee is equivalent to the first night's stay for each reservation. The cancellation fee will not be assesed to those guest cancelling their reservation due to orders or documented medical reasons. Proper documentation will be required.
n. Early departures are subject to a charge of a one nights room rate.
o. Policies and room rates are subject to change without notice.
